Finally, when the passage is read for the third time, you should check what you have written.

One time I met an old American woman at a local city college. She seemed to be over fifty and was taking a class with her husband. She was sitting outside getting some sun. When I asked her, “How old are you?” she told me that I shouldn’t ask that. Most older American women don’t like that question, but she was very nice. She said, “Because you come from another country, it’s OK that you asked. I don’t mind.”
